Itinerary Details:
DAY 01 (Monday): Arrival – Kathmandu By plane:
  • Arrival in Nepal, meet and greet at the airport by our representative
  • Collection of original passports, filling out an embassy form, your visa photo is required (white background, ears clearly visible, no glasses)
  • Transfer to hotel and overnight stay

    • DAY 02 (Tuesday): Kathmandu – Submission of passports at the embassy
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley – site of Hindu, Buddhist temples and the oldest palace (breakfast)

    • DAY 03: Kathmandu (Biometrics for visa)
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley (breakfast)

    • DAY 04: Visa preparation
  • Free day in Kathmandu – walking, yoga or trekking
  • Overnight stay at the hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 05: Pick-up day of the visa
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Obtaining the Tibetan visa around 2:00 PM
  • Free time and meeting to organize the trip in the evening
  • Possibility to purchase additional equipment for the trip (breakfast)

    • DAY 06: Kathmandu (1300 m) – Kerung Border Post (145 km, 6-7 hours drive)
  • Early morning departure to Kerung Border Post (Nepal-Tibet)
  • After border formalities, continue to Kerung
  • Overnight stay at Kerong Grand Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 07: Kerung – Tingri (4300 m) – Shigatse (430 km)
  • Travel along the highest plateau in the world with typical Tibetan landscapes
  • Crossing the Gyachhu La pass (5220 m) on the way to Lhasa
  • Overnight stay at Manasarover Hotel/Gesar Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 08: Shigatse – Samye (3550 m, 260 km)
  • Morning visit of the Panchen Lama's Tashilkhumpo Monastery
  • Drive to Samye and overnight at Samye Guest House (breakfast)

    • DAY 09: Samye – Lhasa (3650 m, 120 km)
  • Visit to Samye Monastery
  • Drive to Lhasa, overnight at Four Points Sheraton Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAYS 10-11: Lhasa Tour
  • Two-day Lhasa sightseeing tour – visit to Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera monasteries
  • Overnight at Kyichu Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 12: Lhasa – Gyantse (4300 m, 260 km)
  • Scenic drive through Karola (5010 m) and Kambala (4749 m) passes, by the colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake
  • Visit to Kumbum Stupa and Falkor Monastery
  • Overnight at Gyantse Hotel/Yeti Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 13: Gyantse – Ronbuk (4980 m)
  • Drive to Tingri and Ronbuk
  • Overnight at a guesthouse (breakfast)

    • DAY 14: Ronbuk – Shegar – Kerong
  • Trek to Everest Base Camp, then drive to Kerong
  • Overnight at Kerong Grand Hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 15: Kerong – Kathmandu
  • Return to Kathmandu after border formalities
  • Overnight at hotel (breakfast)

    • DAY 16: Departure home
  • Transfer to the airport for your flight home
